We’re obsessed with beauty and make- up, and decided to talk to our brides- to- be about the beauty regime they need to follow months before their big day.
When it comes to bridal makeup, we’ve seen it done right, and very, very wrong. With the ever changing trends lately, the brides should have a little fun picking out a hairstyle and makeup for their big day!
We’ve seen brides that wear light makeup in their day to day routine, walk down the aisle with black- smokey eyes and it just looks too intense! Conversely, if you go too light with your makeup for your wedding day, you may not be thrilled with how that translates on photos.
The key is to wear enough makeup to be flattering and complimentary, without going overboard.
Getting too trendy. If a red lip is one of your favorite looks then go for it, but if you’re not sure about it, then this is probably not the day to experiment. If you are having your makeup done by a professional, make sure you do a trial run-through. And the same goes for the hair.
The goal is to look like yourself, in perfect lighting with 12 hours of sleep. Makeup is helpful to amplify natural beauty, so keep that in mind on your wedding day.
All in all, the natural bridal glow is hard to avoid on your wedding day, and the joy in getting dressed in our bridal gown to begin the next chapter of your life.
To get your natural bridal beauty look twelve months out is best, the longer the better because it takes time to work out which ingredients each individual skin loves and what treatments each skin type responds to best. It takes a good 6 months for nails to grow from root to tip so this time frame allows nails to be as healthy, strong and shiny as they possibly can be.
If your skin is super hydrated make-up will sit much better on your skin. Congestion and breakouts don’t tend to show up in photographs but your guests will see your skin healthy and plump on your wedding day. In my opinion there’s nothing more than boosting that amazing skin. When skin does not have a good oil and water balance make-up does not retain an even application throughout the day. Infuse your skin with rose water and vitamin- c serum on daily basis, and apply essential oils before going to bed every night.
Drink lots of water, at least 8 glasses per day. Obviously eating a healthy diet and exercising contributes to healthy skin.
